Skateboard Glamour studio photoshoot
This gallery is from a recent photoshoot with Rachael Jacqueline. The style of the shoot was 'shadowy boudoir photography', but I couldn't resist adding a skateboard to a few of the images! If you follow the mattgfoto Instagram (and if you don't, why not?), then you'll know that skateboards are turning into a bit of a theme in my modelling photoshoots - what could be more Gold Coast than glamour photography with skateboards?
For these images, which were shot in my studio in Tugun, they were shot against a grey background (I prefer grey to black - it's easy to turn it into black if I need to and it gives more photography options and a bit more bounce of the light when I want it), and the lighting was quite simple but also a bit harsher than I might use for a normal portrait shoot so that I could retain the shadows. One complicating factor is the sunglasses - you have to be really careful to make sure that the studio strobes are suitably reflected (or not) in the glasses.
These are great shots - I really like them, some of my favourites so far this year.
